This course enables the student to contribute their understanding of functions in order to improve their comprehension of rates of variation. The student solves vector problems and representations of the right and the plan in space in an algebraic and geometric manner. The student gained a better understanding of rate of variation by using the derivatives of polynomial, rational, exponential, sinusoidal, and radical functions, and applying them to the modelling of various real-world scenarios. Throughout the course, the student learns to clearly and precisely explain the steps in his mathematical reasoning. This course is especially interesting to students who want to enrol in university courses that focus on differentiable and linear algebra, or who want to study physics, engineering, economics, and other related fields.
Note: Students will either concurrently take the two 12th grade courses, Advanced Functions and Calculation Differential and Vectors, or they will take Advanced Functions first, followed by Calculation Differential and Vectors.
